The EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) is a comprehensive law regulating AI systems in the EU. It applies to any organization that develops or uses AI systems affecting people in the EU — including companies based outside the EU. Key dates: AI literacy (Article 4) and prohibited practices rules applied from February 2, 2025. Full enforcement for all other requirements begins August 2, 2026. Some high-risk AI provisions have an extended deadline until August 2, 2027.

AktAI uses a RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipeline that references the actual EU AI Act text to classify your AI systems. It analyzes your system description, data types, affected persons, and deployment context to determine the correct risk level with confidence scores and article citations.

Yes. AktAI supports full GDPR Article 20 data portability. You can export all your organization's data in both JSON and CSV formats from Settings > Export Your Data. Evidence bundles can also be exported as ZIP files from the Evidence Vault.

Absolutely. AktAI uses Supabase with Row-Level Security (RLS) for data isolation, all traffic is encrypted via HTTPS, and we never share your data with third parties. Our AI processing strips sensitive information before analysis. See our Security page for full details.

If you cancel, your account will revert to the free tier at the end of your billing period. Your data is preserved, but paid features (AI classification, document generation, etc.) will be locked. You can resubscribe at any time to regain access.

Yes! AktAI supports all 24 official EU languages. You can switch the interface language from Settings or the language switcher in the navigation. AI-generated content is primarily in English but we are expanding multi-language generation.
